This chapter begins with a consideration of the prevalence and meaning of finding benefit in the experience of cancer, followed by a summary of findings on the conditions that promote benefit finding, as well as the role of benefit finding in adjustment to cancer. The chapter closes with thoughts on clinical implications of the research on finding benefit in cancer.
